A lady came to see Miss Grapes, the detective. While she was vacationing with her family at a hotel, her necklace went missing from the safe. The layout of the building shows many secret passages that connect the east and west wings. The thief could use them to escape. Let’s study the layout.
Clues :
1. There is a passage from the canteen to the kitchen
2. There is a secret passage from the safe to the library
3. You can get to the storeroom from the laundry room
Logic Puzzles Missing Necklace Level 2 :
The building layout really helped us! Now find out where the guests and hotel employees were seen that day to narrow down the list of suspects.
Clues :
1. That day, the brother was seen in the library
2. Neither the butler nor the daughter went into the storeroom
3. The butler was in the kitchen that day
4. The daughter definitely didn’t go into safe
5. Nobody remembers if it was the butler or the spouse that went into the storeroom

The lady wore the necklace to dinner at 5 PM, so it was stolen sometime after that. Find out who left the hotel and when.
Clues :
1. The brother left the hotel later than everybody else
2. The butler left the hotel at neither 4 PM nor 8 PM
3. The daughter left the hotel in a carriage at 10 AM
4. When the spouse left the hotel, the clock showed that it was later than 6 PM

During her interrogation, the servant talked about unusual items she had found throughout the hotel. What clues were found, and where ?
Clues :
1. The ribbon wasn’t found in the entryway
2. When cleaning the corridor, somebody’s scarf was found
3. The hairpin wasn’t in the safe
4. Between the entryway and the balcony, the ribbon was found in one location, and the screwdriver in the other

Miss Grapes has a theory : the lady’s family may have conspired against her to steal her necklace ! Identify who the clues belong to and reveal the guilty.
Clues :
1. The guard is the owner of the screwdriver
2. The spouse doesn’t use the ribbon
3. Either the screwdriver or the hairpin belongs to the brother
4. Of the ribbon, the screwdriver, and the scarf, one belongs to the daughter, one belongs to the guard, and one blongs to the spouse
5. The spouse never wears glasses
